The NCAN organisation is build on the following objectives:

• To set and maintain the necessary standards of accommodation and hospitality amongst the accommodation establishments on the North Coast.
  
• To negotiate and liaise with the appropriate authorities on all matters relating to the licensing and control of accommodation establishments in the area.
  
• To promote tourism to the North Coast in association with District and Local Municipalities and their tourism committees.
  
• To assist tourists in finding suitable accommodation establishments by networking amongst members of the Association.
  
• To negotiate preferential rates, prices and discounts with the banks, suppliers etc.
  
• As a non-profit organisation, to apply the entire income of the Association towards the promotion of its objectives.
  
• To liaise with or become members of any organisation which may assist in the attainment of these objectives.
